Cut Mango Pickle(Roasted Masala) – Presto- First of all cut mango Pickle is a traditional Manglorian(tulunadu) famous pickle preferred by using mango and fragrant spices to add that extra flavour to your meal.Hence this pickle is made from the goodness of mango, blended with the purest roasted aromatic spices.
Ingredients used :
- Raw Mango
- Rock salt
- Turmeric Powder
- Chilli powder
- Roasted Fenugreek powder
- Roasted Masala
- Fenugreek powder
So for the seasoning we have used Sesame seed oil ,Asafoetida, Mustard seeds to stay Cut Mango Pickle(Roasted Masala) – Presto for long time.
Cut Mango Pickle(Roasted Masala) – Presto refers to a variety of pickles prepared using mango.Since this is a very popular pickle in South Karnataka. Pickling process in Mangalore differs from other regions mainly due to additional spice mixture added to them post anaerobic fermentation. Pickles are main side dishes and many varieties of vegetables,mango,lime etc,.
However, raw mango or tender mango is the most popular variety of fruit used for pickling. There are multiple variety of mango pickles prepared depending on the region and the spices used but, broadly there are two types of – whole baby mango pickle or cut mango pickle. Probably Whole baby mango pickle is a traditional variety very popular in Southern India.
Since One month if refrigerated and handled properly. (for Ex- do not use wet spoon, do not take the whole bottle from the fridge daily. Take what you need for that day ).
